Outstanding works of the ESSC 2008

Here are the winners of the ESSC 2008, which took place from June 1 to November 30, 2008. More than 700 extremely short stories were sent to us. The ESSC 2008 was an international contest for Chinese, Far East Russian and Japanese writers of English. We accepted very heart-warming extremely short stories written by elementary school pupils as well, and one of these stories has been awarded the Special Prize!

Enjoy reading a gift from one of our final judges, Professor Peter Hassall (Zayed University, UAE).

We would like to thank all the participants. Every extremely short story was unique and creative. A big applause to the prize-winners, selected through the preliminary, the semi-final and the final selections!
